Beginner Kitesurfing Kites

Kitesurfing beginner kite?
I have never done Kite Surfing before or even anything like kite surfing (never surfed, skied… nothing) but I would really like to start now. I don’t have money so I’m really going to try without lessons but if I get really stuck I will take lessons. Anyway, there is a 21m kite currently selling and it is used so it’s only $200. I’ve read that bigger is better but not so good for beginners. What do you think? Do I have any chances with the 21m kite or should I go for something smaller? And how much smaller?
Thanks to everyone who answers
Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A 21M KITE!!!!
If you are looking to get started in the sport i strongly recommend you have some lessons, i know this is not what you want to hear but kitesurfing is dangerous. If you do take lessons you will be taught how to handle the kite in the wind window and how to minimise the risk to yourself and others, how to safely launch and land the kite etc etc.
Kitesurfing is a great sport (i just spent the weekend in Wales kitesurfing) but you need to know what you’re doing, if you just go out and buy some out of date second hand gear and try to use it you WILL get hurt!!! if you’re lucky you wont break any bones, and 21M, that’s huge, nobody uses kites that size anymore!!!.
As for the gear you should be using, you will need something like a 9.5M Best Kahoona or similar delta style kite which offers easy relaunch and great depower, then there’s the bar and lines and a harness, and of course a board. All this can add up to a lot, you might find you don’t even like the sport, but if you take lessons you will soon find out, and your instructor should then be able to point you in the right direction for some decent second hand gear, some companies even offer a discount if you buy gear off them after also taking lessons with them.
