Lines are used to connect you to the kite and transfer the power of the kite to you. It is where you handle the kite’s power and steer the kite to the wherever you may want. There are two types of harness used for kiteboarding: the waist harness, and the seat harness. This is where the energy of the kite is converted into useful motion, and it’s what lets us ride on the water. The styles of boards vary as much as the styles of kiteboarding; you can use surfboards, wake (style) boards, twin tip boards, snowboards, dirtboards or skateboards. Hybrid kite was developed in order to combine the benefits of C and Bow kites into one kite.
Since hybrids are a mixture of two different styles of kites, their specific design can differ like some are identical to C-kites, others are similar to Bow kites and the rest fall somewhere in between. Bow kites are the latest innovation in kiteboarding kites whose defining characteristic is the concave shape of the trailing edge because of which this kites looks unique in shape and it looks much flatter when it flies and this is why this type of kite is sometimes called a ‘flat’ kite.
