What seems like 10 years ago done North started using the 5th element system and with the 2010 9m Rebel
2010 9m Rebel it is no different. The bar is awesome feels great in your hands and with the newly refined Iron heart 3 the new trust bar looks and works beautifully. The depower cleat is the same as last years with only a small amount of movement in the rope, its easy to use clean and simple.
When you get the Rebel out of the pack and see the super bright pump you can see the great build quantity that we have came to expect from the guys at North. The one pump system works well and the kite bag is good with lots of space for a few bits and bobs.
The moment you lunch the kite you notice how stable it is and how the bar feedback is spot on. The kite on the water is just so easy to use it flies right at the edge of the window and rips you upwind, with some good low end grunt it makes the Rebel great for beginners and if your looking to just free ride with a couple of big airs thrown the Rebel just mite be the perfect kite for you. The Rebel does also have a little bit of freestyle about it, its not the best kite in the world to unhook on but if you want to depower it and chuck in a couple of Raley’s thats no problem. In the surf the Rebel is awesome with the bar feed back you always no where the kite is and you can just rip up the waves.
Overall the 2010 Rebel just ticks all the boxes for freeriders and rip up any size surf
