About Hotels, food , etc..
Also does anybody know about Kite Surfing in Cuba in January

For god sake i am fed up of hearing about people saying how wonderful Cuba is and how wonderful the food and people are.
Yes i am in total agreement with Enrique in this case.
while the hotel resorts are lovely and there is plenty of food for you to eat here please spare a thought when you are eating it and about to complain, as the Cuban people serving you this food would love to just be able to eat what you are eating.
In Cuba the food is grown only for the hotels The Cuban people can not buy or have access to any, their choices are chicken, pork rice and beans ONLY, it is extremely hard to get even the basic’s for theses people to live on. The government do not pay the farmers enough for the food so they are not selling it.they can not buy veg or fruit and if they are lucky enough to grow their own then the government also whats a share in this, they are being squeezed from all directions.
Yes i am in Cuba and after spending seven weeks trying to buy food to live the reality hits home, fortunately we do have cows for milk, but it is illegal to kill cows as this meat again is only for the hotels and we have goats, but we are having to keep a close eye on our horses as they are being killed for food. we have lost seven in the last two months.
So please stop saying Cuba is so perfect, yes it is if you are a holiday maker not if you live here.
Yes they calibrate New year but only with family and they will have pork rice and beans and maybe a bottle of rum and a crate of bear if they can afford to buy this
